Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Today, Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts have announced the details of the PS5 Pro enhancements for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The main advancement in both modes is that the base resolutions have been greatly increased compared to the base PlayStation 5 version. The game's Quality mode retains a 4K resolution and ray-traced elements but is now upscaled from 1800p to 2160p, thus increasing fidelity. Likewise, the Performance mode now runs at a higher resolution of 1800p (upscaled from 1200p) and also introduces raytraced occlusion and reflections while continuing to target 60 frames per second.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is notorious for having had performance issues on both consoles and PC, especially at launch. The situation has improved over time, though. The ninth performance update was released in September by Respawn and certainly delivered some improvements on PC, although some stuttering issues have lingered. For console users, though, given the absence of a PS5 Pro equivalent offering from Microsoft, there is no doubt that the PlayStation 5 Pro version will offer the best possible experience in the game. Of course, there's the caveat of having to pay $699/£699/€799 to get it. You can read our review of the console here.

As for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Electronic Arts recently confirmed that Respawn Entertainment is already developing the third and final chapter in the adventures of Cal Kestis. There is no release date yet, but it's likely to come between 2026 and 2027.
