The long absent remake of the beloved Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is still nowhere to be see, but fans of the game and the Star Wars universe in general have something great to look forward to: Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic.
Announced with an exciting teaser shared during The Game Awards 2025, the game developed by Arcanaut Studios in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games is a new single-player narrative-driven action RPG, and spiritual successor of the aforementioned Knights of the Old Republic.
"Led by Casey Hudson, Game director of the original Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect trilogy, the team of veteran game developers and storytellers at Arcanaut Studios is crafting an epic interactive adventure across a galaxy on the brink of rebirth where every decision shapes your path towards light or darkness," the game's official description reads.
Unfortunately, the trailer did not confirm the game's release window. However, it did confirm that "cinematic scenes" were captured in Unreal Engine 5.
More information on Star Wars Fate of the Old Republic will be available on the game's official website once it goes live.
