STALKER 2 Patch 1.4 Is Now Live, Packing 700 Fixes and Improvements With a Focus on Combat

A new STALKER 2 patch has gone live today, packing 700 fixes and improvements with a focus on combat.

The 1.4 patch introduces some rather big improvements for combat, including mutants now using corpse-eating animations with dead bodies nearby, a new alert state, characters being able to use trees as cover, enhanced animations, more difficult close combat on Veteran and Stalker difficulties, humans using grenades to flush out hiding targets with no cooldown, fixed behavior for A-Life NPCs after attacking enemy lairs, generally improved mutant behavior in combat, adjusted shooting range and more.

Besides introducing combat improvements, the new STALKER 2 patch also introduces some balance changes, including increased armor piercing value for the RPM-74 weapon, increased damage and concussion distance for RPG, rebalanced stashes in the Zaton region, bug fixes and technical updates, which include improved pathing for NPCs, improvements for scripted NPC animations, improved sound obstruction for grenades thrown outside from an indoor location, enhanced facial animations and more.
