Intel partners have started to go the innovative route with the new Arc Pro B70 GPUs, with Sparkle's design going for a single-slot form factor.
Intel Arc Pro B70 32 GB GPU Coming In Single-Slot Form Factors
The Intel Arc Pro B70 is our only look at the "Big Battlemage" GPU. Featuring 32 GB of memory and 32 Xe2 cores, the graphics card offers some great value for AI, Content Creation, and Pro workloads. During Computex, Sparkle is one of the first manufacturers to showcase a single-slot design featuring the BMG-G31 GPU with its full specs onboard.
The Sparkle Intel Arc Pro B70 32 GB Blower 1S comes in a compact single-slot design, which features a blower-style cooler. The card features a single fan which blowers air through an internal heatsink that features several aluminum fins. The baseplate is made out of copper and should provide decent cooling capabilities in this form factor.
For TBP, the card is driven by a single 16-pin connector, which feeds its 160W power design. The boost clock is rated at 2800 MHz. The TBP is lower than the 230W we see on the standard dual-slot designs, & while that may affect sustained performance, a single-slot design opens room for 8 of these GPUs to be slotted into workstations for up to 256 GB of VRAM, which will enable support for over 200B+ AI LLMs.
Other than that, you get four display outputs on the rear IO plate. There's no word on the pricing yet, but the card is expected to launch soon, so expect single-slot Arc Pro B70s in action.
