Sniper Elite 4 is coming to the Mac, iPad and iPhone

Rebellion has announced that Sniper Elite 4 will be available for the Mac, iPad, and iPhone later this year. The game was first announced for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2017, meaning that it is being ported to various Apple devices, seven years after its original release.

On the developer’s blog post, the following is mentioned regarding Sniper Elite 4’s compatibility, stating that you will need Apple’s latest and greatest iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max if you want to game on the go. Fortunately, the title can also work with any other iPad or Mac that is running Apple’s M1 as the bare minimum.

“With more than 30 million players worldwide, Rebellion’s award-winning, BAFTA-nominated tactical shooter, will this holiday season, be playable on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max and any iPad or Mac with the M1 chip or later. Legendary snipers can now take on the Nazis in the palm on their hands.”

For those who do not know, Sniper Elite 4 revolves around a World War II sniper that takes the player to 1943 Italy. You can check out our detailed review, where we had immense fun during multiple hours of gaming. You take the role of Karl Fairburne and employ the use of historical weapons to defeat a new Nazi threat. One of the best features of the game that long-term gamers will remember is that it sports an ‘X-ray Kill Camera,’ which displays an internal view of the enemies as they are hit by bullets, providing additional immersion.

Given that Sniper Elite 4 is seven years old at this point, it should have no trouble running fluidly on a wide range of Apple hardware. We have seen more visually impressive titles such as Resident Evil 4 Remake and Death Stranding Director’s Cut running at decent framerates, so there is no doubt that Rebellion will have next to zero difficulties delivering a top-notch experience.
