Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy S25 FE, and what is immediately noticeable is that the budget model is not merely a yearly refresh but instead reflects the company's efforts to revamp the line with major refinements. Priced at $649, the S25 FE sits somewhere between mid-range phones and premium options. This year, the emphasis is on the design and form factor of the device, as the latest addition is slimmer and lighter compared to the bulkier predecessors.

The design shift is noteworthy as the S25 FE stands at 7.4 mm thickness and weighs about 190 grams, making the device more comfortable and lighter to hold. Samsung has used Armor Aluminum for the phone's frame and Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on the front and back for added protection and durability. The tech giant also opted for slimmer bezels on the new model, drastically improving the device's form factor and ergonomics. With the overall slimmed-down look, the S25 FE appears more modern than its predecessors and closer to the outlook of the flagship Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung's Galaxy S25 FE model features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, bringing forward smoother transitions and an improved display experience. The peak brightness also goes up to 1,900 nits, which makes it ideal to be used outdoors, especially in bright environments. While the model is thinner and lighter, the South Korean giant has still managed to boost battery capacity and bring it up to 4,900 mAh, which is the largest one yet on an FE model. There is also support for fast charging up to 45W, which is similar to the top-tier Galaxy devices.

The Galaxy S25 FE is equipped with the Exynos 2400 chipset and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. Regarding the camera specifications, the front camera has been improved to 12MP, making selfies and video calls much better. The device ships with Android 16 and One UI 8 out of the box. Additionally, it offers seven years of OS and security updates.

While the phone offers better performance, improved battery, and upgraded display quality, it is not heavy on the pocket, making it ideal for users who prefer premium features without having to pay the hefty price tag of the flagship series. Samsung's Galaxy S25 FE feels like a bridge between premium design and budget-friendly price, making it more widely accessible.
