If you are a tech-savvy person, it is quite probable that you would already be aware of the fact that Samsung is preparing to unveil its latest and greatest smartphone flagship lineup, the Galaxy S26 series, at a dedicated 'Galaxy Unpacked' event later today. Yet, even before the said event gets going, Samsung has begun issuing random store credits.
Samsung really wants you to splurge on its goodies, and is sending you store credits to nudge you in that direction
According to several anecdotal posts on Reddit, some users have received a $50 credit to their Samsung account literally hours before the Galaxy Unpacked event goes live.
Given this suspect timing, we can safely surmise that the credit is likely a part of the Samsung Reserve program that aims to spur users towards its newly unveiled products. Except this time, the credits appear to have gone out even before the company has had a chance to formally unveil the new Galaxy S26 series, the Galaxy Buds 4, and other planned goodies.
Interestingly, almost all users who received the credit reside in the US. What's more, the credit is eligible for a host of Samsung accessories, including charging bricks. However, as the Galaxy S26 series won't be unveiled until later in the morning, users can't redeem their credit in favor of the new smartphones just yet.
For the benefit of those who might not be aware, Samsung's Reserve campaign currently entails "a $30 Samsung credit during pre-order, up to $900 additional savings, and a chance to win $5,000 to use on Samsung.com." Do note that the credit that several Redditors have reportedly received exceeds $30. Hopefully, we will be able to get much more clarity on the South Korean giant's confusing reward program in the next few hours.
