Galaxy Z Fold 6 and flip 6 design leak

Samsung is gearing up for the Galaxy Unpacked on July 10 with a plethora of devices to be rolled out, but the Fold 6 and Flip 6 have grabbed the most attention. There have been various rumors suggesting no major design changes for the sixth-generation foldables compared to their predecessors. While the possible design images of the Fold series have been doing the rounds, the latest leak coming straight from Samsung's official website gives a closer look at what the new devices would look like.

The promotional material for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 has been officially showcased on Samsung's website

The official promo image for the Fold 6 and Flip 6 was found on Samsung's website for Kazakhstan but was later deleted. The image showcased the foldable's design, which confirmed previous reports of the company opting for a similar flat frame approach used for S24.

The previous Galaxy high-end devices opted for a curved look and rounded edges, as seen in the Galaxy Z Fold 5. With the new sharper and more defined edges, Samsung is planning incremental changes to the design in terms of going for a boxed look this time. The previous leaked CAD renders all pointed to this new upgrade for the Fold 6.

As showcased in the picture, the Galaxy Fold 6 might feature larger camera rings, while the Flip 6 is expected to maintain the same design as its previous model. The back panel includes three separate camera sensors, with relatively large rings featuring small ridges.

Since the leaked image for Flip 6 shows the back, we can only clearly make out the hinge and the secondary panel from behind. It does not look like much is being changed from the Flip 5 version, but Samsung's iconic folder-like cover screen might return after the noticeable enlargement of the Z Flip 4's outer display. However, the Z Flip 6’s dual rear-facing camera setup appears to be inspired by the Z Fold 6's lenses.

Many users have expressed their disappointment with the minor upgrades in design, suggesting the classic book style look should not have been changed, while others are appreciating the more defined edgy look. Other than the minor changes, the design of the new foldable is not much different from that of the previous generation. We expect the Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with improved battery capacity. We will report all the emerging details as the event approaches, so be sure to stay tuned.
