Samsung appears to be experimenting with some bold color options for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series, especially vis-à-vis the Ultra variant, as per a relatively well-known rumor aggregation blog.
Samsung Galaxy S26 and S26+ to sport mint, coral, and gray color options, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra to come with black, white, silver, and purple colors
According to the rumor aggregation site, yeux1122's blog, Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 series will sport the following color options:
Base Galaxy S26
- Mint
- Coral
- Gray
Galaxy S26+
- Mint
- Coral
- Gray
Galaxy S26 Ultra
- Black
- White
- Silver
- Purple
Additionally, according to the tidbit, the Galaxy S26+ will not sport the orange color option, negating a previous report on the topic.
Interestingly, according to this rumor, the black color option on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra will sport a frame that is of a different color. Do note that Samsung has generally stuck with a silver-colored frame for the past few Galaxy S-series iterations.
Of course, this directly contradicts a recent claim made by the famous tipster, Ice Universe, who postulated last week that the black version of the Galaxy S26 Ultra would not feature a silver frame, and would resort to a black one instead to achieve a uniform color tone throughout the device.
As we had noted at the time, the all-black design choice entailed a drawback: the frame would then meld with the black edges of the display to make the Galaxy S6 Ultra's bezels appear thicker than they really are, representing an apparent case of visual regression.
As per the available information at this time, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to feature a selfie camera hole that will be around 4mm bigger than its predecessor's, resulting in a wider field of view, but at the cost of overall aesthetics.
Additional details about the Galaxy S26 Ultra include:
- More rounded edges.
- A 6.9-inch screen with frame dimensions of 163.6mm x 78.1mm x 7.9mm.
- Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.
- A 5,200mAh battery capacity.
- A dedicated camera island at the rear.
Samsung is also playing it safe in the camera department, with nary a change in the offing for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which is expected to sport almost the same setup as the Galaxy S25 Ultra's:
- A single 200MP ISOCELL HP2 main camera (possibly with a wider aperture)
- A 50MP ISOCELL JN3 or Sony IMX564 ultrawide camera
- A 50MP IMX854 5x periscope camera (possibly with a wider aperture)
- A 12MP IMX874 selfie camera
- A 12MP ISOCELL 3LD S5K3LD 3x telephoto (possibly with a smaller, 1/3.94-inch aperture)
