Samsung is gearing up to launch the new Galaxy S25 lineup early next year, possibly in January, and we are expecting major design changes on the front of the device. The current Galaxy S24 Ultra's display features sharp corners, and the company might pivot away from this approach and bring rounded corners to its highest-end Ultra model next year.
Galaxy S25 Ultra to come with rounded display corners, similar to the iPhone and Pixel phones
Renowned leaker Ice Universe has shared the image of the Galaxy S25 Ultra's front glass or the screen protector, and it can be observed that the device will be going ahead with rounded corners instead of sharp right angles. The current model of the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a very boxier design compared to the standard Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24 Plus. From this, we can assume that the company is moving forward with the design with which it is already familiar.
On the other hand, Samsung's decision to switch to rounded corners for the front display will also allow it to compete better. Google's latest Pixel 9 series also features a boxier design but with rounded edges. Apple moved away from sharp-cornered displays with the launch of the iPhone X in 2017, and it has continued offering rounded corners on displays since then.

Samsung's new strategy of opting for rounded corners would also make it easier for users to hold the device. It is worth noting that the overall chassis of the device will be rounded from corners as well, moving closer to the display's rounded corners. However, if we look at leaked images with more precision, we can see the screen protector or the front glass shows that the rounded corners will be very subtle compared to the competition.

Nonetheless, the subtle rounded corners would still allow the device to retain its classic design approach while making it a lot easier to hold as the curves will be very minute. In another leaked image, tipster Ice Universe also shows the screen protectors of all three models of the Galaxy S25, including the Ultra model, which gives us a clear look at what we should be looking forward to.
From the images we can see that the bezels have been reduced marginally, and this might help it give iPhone 16 Pro models a tough time. The bezels on the Galaxy S25 and the Galaxy S25 Plus appear to be slightly bigger, but it could be the angle of the picture as well, which is contributing to the illusion of a larger size.
