Samsung is known for its One UI, which seamlessly integrates with each version and focuses on regular updates packed with new features and enhanced capabilities. For quite some time, the tech giant has been working on bringing forth Android 15 based on the One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, and leaks have shown that internal testing is underway. With the latest information, we are given more updates on the S24 Plus, potentially running on Android 15 based on One UI 7 and the performance scores.
Galaxy S24 Plus managed to score a single-core score of 2114 and a multi-core score of 6616
While previous reports speculated Samsung has been internally testing the One UI 7 update on Android 15 for the Galaxy S24 lineup, we have had limited information on the development. According to the latest insight by the well-known tipster Tarun Vats shared on X (formerly Twitter), the S24 Plus has been spotted running Android 15 based on One UI 7 on a Geekbench result.
The screenshot of the platform shared in the leak showed that the Galaxy S24 Plus managed to get a single score of 2114 on top of the multi-score of 6616, which could hint at the company working on new advancements and improving performance capabilities. It is important to note that the benchmark scoring is based on the early version of the One UI 7, and this could improve drastically with the stable version coming out later.
The Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup would be the first series to get the One UI 7 beta update, which is expected to be rolled out in August. It is still unclear which other models will get the update, but reports suggest that only limited models will get the new version for now.
The release window for the update seems a little far off, given that Samsung is getting ready to debut the One UI 6.1.1 at the Unpacked event on July 10 for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, which will, later on, be made available for the predecessor and other selected devices as well. We have also been hearing about the One UI 7 update being packed with advanced Galaxy AI capabilities and about the company potentially prolonging the roll-out to ensure the new AI features are fully integrated with the latest version.
The update is expected to bring new enhanced features, such as the app lock or the most requested vertical option in the app drawer, ditching the classic horizontal app drawer alignment. If the company follows its general update pattern, One UI 7.0 could possibly come out at the Samsung Developer Conference on October 3rd, 2024.
