The Galaxy S24 FE has finally been made official after previous reports gave away many key details regarding the upcoming device. It is especially meant for users who are looking for a flagship-like experience without the phone taking a toll on their budget. Although no major design changes have been brought in to the new version from the previous one, the prices have been raised this time around, making us question if it is, in fact, a budget-friendly phone after all.
The new Galaxy S24 FE gets a bigger display and might be the largest screen size we have yet seen in the Fan Edition series. The FE model features a 6.7-inch display, and if we talk about the display, it comes close to the likeness of the standard Galaxy S24 or even the S24 Plus. It is packed with an improved and smoother experience with a 120Hz refresh rate. Along with this, the peak brightness goes up 1,900 nits, bringing a better outdoor experience as well.
Another key difference between the S24 FE and its predecessor is that it features flat sides all around in comparison to the previous model with more rounded edges, giving the new version a sleeker look. The S24 FE model is powered by the Exynos 2400e and comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB storage options. The FE model boasts a 4,700mAh battery and has the option of 15W wireless charging and 25W wired charging.
The camera setup for the Galaxy S24 FE remains unchanged from the previous model as it comes with a 50MP wide camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), a 10MP front camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens with OIS. Galaxy AI is a major part of the new FE model, and it comes with some key features, including Circle to Search, Portrait Studio, Live Translate, and many other capabilities.
The Galaxy S24 FE is available in four colors: Blue, Gray, Graphite, and Yellow. The base storage model costs $649, and it is available for pre-order starting today. The new model will hit the shelves on October 3rd.
