The RTX Remix mods currently available online are still in their infancy, but one of them is clearly above most  others, featuring an amazing implementation of path tracing that breathes new life into dated visuals.

The NFS Underground 2 RTX Remix mod, which can be downloaded by going here, is, without a doubt, among the best released to date, as it manages to update the game's visuals in some amazing ways. The performance hit is considerable, even on an RTX 4080 and with NVIDIA DLSS 3.5, as showcased in a video put together by MxBenchmarkPC, so it will be some time before this version of the game will be playable with smooth framerate.

One common issue that most RTX Remix projects seem to share at the moment is the performance hit. Old games like Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Max Payne, which can run flawlessly on modern hardware, struggle to hit 60 frames per second on powerful GPUs. Still, as work proceeds on these mods and the tools get updated, performance is sure to improve in the future.
