Star Wars Rogue One co-writer Gary Whitta has expressed his thoughts about the cancelation of EA’s Star Wars project.

Last week we covered a report from Kotaku about EA cancelling its ‘Orca’ Star Wars project in favor of a new, much smaller, Star Wars game. EA has been rather evasive on the matter, but the co-writer on Rogue One didn’t hold back in a recent video interview with Kinda Funny Games.

Whitta was asked about his thoughts on the matter, and responded “It has been catastrophically mismanaged. If I were Disney, I’d be fucking furious. I saw a bunch of that game, and it looked terrific. It would have been Star Wars Uncharted.”

As said, EA reportedly cancelled its rebooted Star Wars project in favor of a Star Wars game much smaller in scope. Kotaku reported that EA might intend to release this new Star Wars title by the end of next year.
