Beelink EQi13 Pro “Intel Core i7-13620H” Mini PC Review – Compact & Stainless Steel Finish With 10 Cores & Integrated PSU For $450

Beelink was established in 2011 & is regarded as one of the top sellers in the Mini PC category at Amazon. The company has a diverse portfolio of Mini PCs, Players, and gadgets, but the core focus is on the Mini PC segment, which includes both Intel and AMD options.

While we have looked at several of Beelink's Mini PC options in the past, ranging from AMD & Intel CPUs, the company has introduced a new Intel model recently, the EQi13 Pro, which features up to an Intel Core i7-13620H CPU, along with very decent capabilities given its price of $450 US.

Beelink EQi13 Pro Mini PC - Specifications At A Glance

The Beelink EQi13 Pro is another compact Mini PC option, which comes in Intel Core i5-13500H and Core i7-13620H CPU options.  Our unit was the fully decked out variant with the Core i7-13620H, DDR4-3200 32 GB (16 GB x2) SO-DIMM memory, and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 M.2 drive. There are two M.2 slots, so you can get up to 8 TB (4 TB each) capacity for your storage needs.

Coming to the specifications, the Beelink EQi13 Pro Mini PC features the Intel Core i7-13620H CPU, which features 10 cores and 16 threads in a 6+4 configuration, 24 MB of L3 cache, and a boost clock of up to 4.90 GHz. The CPU has a base TDP of 45W and a maximum turbo power of up to 115W.

For the GPU, the Intel Core i7-13620H is packing an Intel UHD iGPU, which features a total of 64 EUs and clocks up to 1.5 GHz. The iGPU is a bit old by today's standards, as Intel itself has moved to the newer Arc series, which comes with XeSS support and faster graphics capabilities. But it is still enough for low-level graphics workloads.

Other specs for the Beelink EQI13 Pro Mini PC include 32 GB DDR4-3200 (Dual-Channel) memory. The company offers 32 GB as standard, so you will have to upgrade yourself if you want higher capacities on the memory side. Storage comes in the form of two M.2 2280 (Gen4x4) slots that support up to 4 TB capacities (each). One of these slots is populated by either a 500 GB or 1 TB SSD (based on the config).

I/O on the Beelink SEi13 Pro Mini PC includes 1 USB 10 Gbps Type-A port, 1 USB 10 Gbps Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack, a Clear CMOS button, a Power LED, and a Power button on the front. The rear side has two USB 10 Gbps Type-A ports, 1 USB 2.0 Type-A port, two HDMI ports, two LAN ports, and a power in port. The following are the main features of the Mini PC:

Beelink EQi13 Pro PC - Unboxing & A Closer Look

The Beelink EQi13 Pro Mini PC comes in a white colored cardboard package, which has a simplistic look.

The back of the box has some basic specifications that list the specific configuration for this model. We got the Intel Core i7-13620H variant with 32 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage capacity.

Within the box, you are first greeted with a nice "Thank You" card. Little things like these make for a fun unboxing experience.

Lifting the top box cover, you are welcomed by a soft plastic interior in which the PC and its various accessories are kept safe and away from harm. Before talking about the case itself, we have to mention the accessories that come with the Mini PC. It comes with a Power cord and a manual.

So, looking at the PC, you are met with a gorgeous and perfect square-shaped chassis that comes with a beautiful grey color scheme with a metallic Silver "Beelink" logo in the center. The curved edges and the aluminum + shiny exterior have a very premium feel. You can get the PC in two color schemes: the Space Gray version that we got, or a Frost Silver color, which has a whiter hue.

The top and sides are fully enclosed except for the rear and bottom of the chassis, which have vents to push hot air out of the unit that is dissipated by the cooling solution.

The front I/O on the Beelink EQi13 Pro Mini PC comes with a single USB 10 Gbps Type-A port, a USB 10 Gbps Type-C port, a 3.5mm Audio Jack, Clear CMOS, Power LED, and a power button.

The back I/O of the Beelink EQi13 Pro features two USB 10 Gbps Type-A ports, 1 USB 2.0 Type-A port, 2 HDMI ports, 2 LAN ports, and an AC Power-In.

The back side has large vents that push air out of the chassis. That's about it as far as the outside goes, but overall, the looks and feel are very premium for the EQi13 Pro Mini PC. Our test unit came with 32 GB of DDR4-3200 memory and 1 TB of Gen4 NVMeSSD. You get dual M.2 ports internally, both of which can utilize up to 8 TB capacities.

The interiors of the Mini PC can be accessed by removing four screws at the bottom, which are hidden underneath four rubber pads. Once inside, you will notice a large metal dust filter, and underneath it is the integrated power supply along with a heatsink that covers the M.2 slots. The 85W PSU is integrated, making for a nice, adapter free design.

Since the EQi13 Pro is more of an entry-level Mini PC, it doesn't feature the dual speaker or integrated microphone setup that we have seen on Beelink's other products.

The Beelink EQi13 Pro Mini PC measures 135 x 135 x 44.7 mm (W x L x H). The PC also comes with a strong cooling solution in the form of Beelink's MSC 2.0 design, which includes two heatpipes, a finned heatsink, and a fan that keeps the internals cool.

For performance testing, we used the 45W power profile for the Intel Core i7-13620H when testing the Beelink EQi13 Pro Mini PC.

For gaming, we tested a couple of the latest and most played esports titles, along with a mix of AAA titles at 1080p resolution. The performance was measured between the AMD Radeon 890M, Radeon 780, Radeon 680M, AMD Vega 8, Vega 7, Vega 6, Intel Iris Xe, and Intel Iris Xe-LP integrated graphics.

Conclusion - 10 Core & Multi-Monitor Ready Starting at $420

Beelink has updated its older 12th Gen Mini PCs with newer options based on the Core i5-13500H & Core i7-13620H CPUs. These bring up to 10 cores, with higher clocks, all within a premium aluminum chassis & solid IO. The 10-cores provide ample performance for office and productivity tasks, while the integrated Iris Xe GPU is good for low-end gaming and video-oriented capabilities.

With dual LAN and dual HDMI ports, you can have a breezy dual-monitor setup going on with the EQi13 Pro. Furthermore, the internals, such as memory and storage, are upgradable. While you won't see the need for anything above 32 GB memory, the 4 TB capacities supported by each of the two M.2 slots are a good addition. The chassis has internal cooling for the M.2 slots, while the CPU receives decent cooling from the MSC 2.0 solution. The chip hovers around 70 °C, and the system runs very quietly. There's one USB Type-C port, but there are plenty of USB 10 Gbps options on the Mini PC.

Beelink has another good option for those looking for Mini PCs in the mid-tier price range of $400-$450 with the EQi13 Pro.
