Red Dead Redemption 2, the new open world game currently in development by Rockstar Games, has yet to receive a release date for North America and Europe outside a generic 2018 release window, but there's a good chance it may release close to the first half of the year.

Danish retailer CoolShop is currently listing Red Dead Redemption 2 with a June 8th, 2018 release date for both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. While the date may be a placeholder, it's important to note how the shop correctly revealed the Grand Theft Auto V PlayStation 4 and Xbox One ports before their official announcement, so the retailer may indeed have some information regarding the game's release date.

Red Dead Redemption 2 was originally scheduled to release this year, but Rockstar eventually confirmed that the game will release sometime during 2018.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is now set to launch Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This outlaw epic set across the vast and unforgiving American heartland will be the first Rockstar game created from the ground up for the latest generation of console hardware, and some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans.

We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready.
