Considering how the Google I/O 2024 is just around the corner, we are going to see a lot of leaks related to the event. Today's information focuses on the much-awaited Pixel 8a, the phone that could very well disrupt the mid-range market with stellar specs and a great Android experience. This leak gives us a glimpse through real-life images of the device, showing what the phone is going to look like. If you are in the market for a new smartphone that does not break the bank, you might want to wait until next month.
The Pixel 8a looks a lot more ergonomic, but I am worried about those bezels
The leaked Pixel 8a images show the device in black, and the images are of the front and the back of the device. The back of the phone is the usual Pixel affair, with two cameras in a single pill-shaped housing on the right side of the camera island. The front of the device, however, is where things get interesting as you are going to come across some really thick bezels, which might be a problem for some people. You can have a look at the images below and decide for yourself:
As you can see in the images above, the Pixel 8a's bezels are thick, and while I do not have a problem with this, the same cannot be said for many people. Google has clearly decided that it would be best if the phone had a rounder design than its predecessors.
The Pixel 8a is said to offer a 6.1-inch display, Tensor G3 chipset, multiple storage options, a faster charging speed, and Android 14 running out of the box. For those interested in getting their hands on the phone, it is going official next month during the Google I/O 2024. Considering how the event is just around the corner, you can expect a lot of leaks going forward. The phone is said to carry a starting price tag of $500, which puts it right next to some of the other affordable offerings in the market, so we are going to be sure that we are keeping a close eye on this.
