Ray-Ban and Meta Are Teaming Up Once Again for AI-Powered Smart Glasses

It's been almost two years since Facebook and Ray-Ban partnered up and released the Ray-Ban Stories smart glasses, and now it seems the companies are joining hands again, but this time, the sequel is going to launch with AI built into them and a bunch of other features.

The Ray-Ban Stories 2 could be the latest smart glasses from Ray-Ban and Meta, with AI capabilities and the ability to live stream on Facebook on the go

Although we don't know if the new smart glasses will be a sequel to the Ray-Ban Stories or a completely different product altogether, it is nice to see that both companies are working together to bring something that the market is still getting used to. Currently, these new smart glasses are known as Supernova, and they were found inside the Facebook View app's code. If you are not familiar, the existing Stories glasses already use the Facebook View app for the purpose of syncing photos, videos, and audio. So, it is safe to say that the glasses do exist and will be coming soon.

We have a feeling that these will be called Ray-Ban Stories 2, and they are also equipped with Meta's AI onboard. This will allow users to ask questions or even engage in hands-free commands, which is good, to be honest. While we are not sure just how powerful the features are going to be.

It appears that the Ray-Ban Stories 2 could even sport a slimmer charging case that looks a lot better than the last one. The new smart cases will also have an option to start live streaming on Facebook, something that a lot of similar devices still don't possess.

It is worth noting that based on the information that we have right now, the Ray-Ban Stories 2 do not appear to be AR glasses. They do act as full-fledged smart glasses with a lot of features packed into them, and that certainly is a good thing because you have something on your hands that can actually work wonders for various functions even if you don't want to use them as a pair of smart glasses, they still look wicked-cool if you wear them as just a pair of sunglasses.

At the moment, we are not sure when Ray-Ban Stories 2 will come out, but we are going to make sure that we keep you posted about all the details as soon as they are available. Be sure to keep checking back for more information on the latest smart glasses.
