Ubisoft has just released the details on update 1.1 to Rainbow Six Siege, which came out on the 1st of December.

This patch addresses a number of high profile concerns that fans had during the beta as well as upon initial release. Hit registration was one of the biggest issues that was noticed by players, and that has been taken care of, or at least should be.

Rainbow Six Siege gets a huge patch, upgrades graphics on PC.

Also big on the list is the fixing of some latent matchmaking issues that made finding a match somewhat difficult. Those issues should no longer be there.

The most significant update in this patch is the inclusion of an enhanced, high-resolution texture pack that's available to download. The difference between the PC and consoles wasn't immediately apparent in all cases, though now there can be a distinct difference. The catch? You'll need to be running at least a 4GB VRAM GPU at 1080P and 1440P, and have 6GB VRAM at 4K and higher. This is a free upgrade, and just needs to be downloaded via Steam or Uplay.
