Bethesda’s upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter Rage 2 will run in 1080p resolution at 60FPS on both the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro, id Software has confirmed.

We already heard about id Software’s plan to run the Rage sequel in 60FPS on the enhanced consoles and the studio’s director, Tim Willits, has now confirmed this framerate on both the Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro. In a recent interview with Hardcore Gamer, the studio director also confirmed that the shooter will run in 1080p in both consoles. Instead of focusing on resolution, the team decided to prioritize framerate.

“To make it simple, on the enhanced consoles, it runs at 1080p 60 FPS”, Willits said. “On base hardware, it runs at 30 FPS. On PC, it's uncapped. We went for speed over 4K for the enhanced consoles.”

Rage 2 is slated for a release on May 14 for Xbox One X, PS4 Pro and PC.
