Halloween is just around the corner and we are very excited about it, aren’t we? It’s a spooky day, with tales of terror floating everywhere. Every business is using this particular day to create new business opportunities as always. Now if restaurants can do it, social media apps can do it, then why can’t games cash in on this opportunity? Well, our favorite game Pokémon GO is using this date to spook users out.
Halloween - the Pokémon way
This year Gastly, Drowzee, Cubone and other spooky Pokémon are coming back but this time they are coming with some special friends. Sableye, Banette and other ghost-type Pokémon of the Hoenn region will be making their first ever appearance in the game.
Other Pokémon seen in the Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sappire video games will also appear gradually by December! The company is hoping that this spooky ghost-type Pokémon treat will be enjoyed by the game lovers. The celebration will begin on October the 20th at 12:00 P.M. PDT and will continue till November the 2nd 1:00 P.M. PDT. Another exciting thing is that a Halloween special Pikachu will also be joining you in celebration in a new costume! You can also dress up your avatar with Mimikyu’s Disguise Hat. If you go trick-or-treating with your Pokémon, then you will earn extra Candy. The Candy rewards come from catching, hatching and transferring the Pokémon will be doubled and your buddy Pokémon will be able to find Candy faster during the celebrations.
You can also stock-up for the coming adventures with boxes from the in-game shop. The items being featured include Raid Passes and Super Incubators. While you’re at it, use your AR feature to capture the festivities and share them on social media with the hashtag #PokemonGoHalloween. So keep your eyes open, because the ghost-type could be standing right next to you.
