PlayStation Studios' FireSprite is known to be working on a dark horror game for PlayStation 5, and we know might have a release year.

At least, that's the ArtStation resume of a former FireSprite employee appears to suggest. The resume mentions work on a "TBA" AAA project from FireSprite with a release in 2025. Of course, this could merely be a placeholder year, but it's interesting nonetheless. We've included a screenshot of the resume below:

No additional details about this upcoming project from FireSprite have been shared, but job ads at the studio do make mention of a "story-driven horror blockbuster with genre-defining goals".

In addition, the job ads mention the following:

"This huge, highly ambitious partnership project takes atmosphere, storytelling, player agency and narrative firmly into ground-breaking territory on next-generation hardware technologies.

This project has AAA ambitions with a heavy focus on art, animation and delivering unique character performances to heighten player presence and immersion to new levels."

Some months ago, FireSprite announced that the Liverpool-based studio expanded into a new studio in order to become a new "creative powerhouse". FireSprite currently consists of more than 250 employees. "The move to our new studio space is a significant step forward for Firesprite in helping us fulfill our vision of becoming a creative powerhouse within the PlayStation Studios family", the studio wrote back in July of this year.

The studio recently helped out Guerrilla with PS5 VR title Horizon: Call of the Mountain. We'll update you as soon as we learn more about FireSprite's upcoming dark horror story-driven game. For now, stay tuned.
