Smartphone makers attempt to add the best-in-class hardware to their flagships, and while that is one way of getting the masses’ attention and hyping the stock of the upcoming product, it matters little if the software lacks optimization. On this occasion, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro appears to have nailed both aspects as a comparison video shows the upcoming handset to be superior when compared to the iPhone 15 Pro Max in app fluidity and overall smoothness.

The OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, along with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM paired with UFS 4.0 storage. In short, it is the total package as far as Android flagships, and on paper, the iPhone 15 Pro Max pales in comparison. However, how do both devices fare in a real-world app-opening and closing skirmish? Well, according to the clip shared by @TECHINFOSOCIALS below, the Android camp takes the win in multiple scenarios.

The video shows that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro runs ColorOS 14, and in addition to introducing a new user interface to the table, the flagship shows that not only is the opening and closing of applications a buttery smooth process, but you can minimize these apps through various interactions of the screen. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is shown to be lacking in this regard, as you cannot minimize any application by swiping from the left or right corners.

With the iPhone 15 Pro Max, minimizing an app is only possible if you take your finger from the bottom of the display and drag it upward. It is also not possible for an iPhone 15 Pro Max to minimize apps that function in landscape mode from the bottom, a feat that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro appears to do well. In short, the company is attempting to raise the perception that the handset offers more versatility when using it daily.

Then again, we have not spotted any iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max owners complaining about being unable to close applications a certain way, because if they did, we are confident that Apple would incorporate this functionality one way or another. In any case, do check out the video at the top and let us know in the comments.
