It seems like the supply chain is starting to report on the effects of Trump's newest tariffs, as the custom PC builder META PC says they are expecting a massive hike in pricing.
Retailers Are Anticipating a Massive Increase In PC Component Pricing In The Coming Days, Consumers Should Buckle Up
Trump's latest trade moves might help the US combat trade deficits, but they will indeed have devastating impacts on consumer markets. The PC markets right now are heavily dependent on China, since the major portion of the supply chain lies there, and with almost a 104% tariff on the nation, it is certain that retailers and service providers will need to raise pricing. In an X post by @METAPCs, it is revealed that the manufacturer is set to implement a price hike of up to 50% across PC components, citing the tariff policy and how they cannot maintain existing prices.
Tariffs on PC components go into effect starting April 5th, with more increases coming April 9th (10–50% depending on origin).

When asked about whether they could absorb the tariff effect and not pass it out to customers, META PCs claimed that doing so would put them out of business. This shows that the supply chain generally cannot proceed with the tariffs without raising consumer product prices, and this makes it evident that we will ultimately see a widespread impact of the new policies. Another system integrator, PowerGPU, and their CEO also spoke about the effect of tariffs on their business, claiming that consumers will ultimately have to pay the price.

One of the more significant reasons the PC supply chain will witness a greater impact is that Trump's reciprocal tariffs have also targeted markets like Singapore and the Philippines. Since manufacturers saw them as an alternative to China, they started to shift the supply chain there. Still, the tariffs will result in higher costs of sourcing from such nations, which means that manufacturers will have no option other than submitting to the tariffs and increasing consumer product pricing.
Retailers like Newegg and MicroCenter will probably take some time to reflect new post-tariff pricing, given that their existing inventory might be sufficient to fulfill market demand. However, ultimately, the cost of essential PC components will rise in the coming days.
