NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5080 "Blackwell" consumer GPU's box packaging has allegedly surfaced online, showing us a glimpse of what to expect with the lineup.

Well, around the official launch timeline, we often see leaks surface disclosing information about the upcoming GPUs, whether it is performance or even specific details about AIB variants. This time, however, GALAX's packaging for NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5080 has surfaced online (via Ruby_Rapids). The image isn't high-definition, which is why extracting information seems almost impossible for now but Videocardz has apparently done their magic to see the contents on the backside of the packaging, and initial looks show surprising information.

Before we proceed, it is important to note that GALAX has verified that the newly-surfaced images are indeed their new packaging, so it's safe to assume that the information extracted will be consistent with what we will see once NVIDIA's RTX 5080 officially drops on the market. The front packaging doesn't seem much different at all, apart from the change in GPU's naming, and while this is surprising to say, the back packaging looks identical to the previous generation as well.
We were hoping for mention of new technologies, as teased by Inno3D, such as neural rendering and "advanced DLSS," but when stacking up the details on the backside with the old packaging, it is noticeable that there aren't many changes, apart from the orientation. This means two things: either we won't see much difference in terms of newer technologies with the RTX 50 lineup, or GALAX may not have mentioned the upcoming tech in their packaging, and I do hope it is the latter one.
Well, since things aren't official for now, we shouldn't jump to conclusions just yet, but we should anticipate massive announcements by NVIDIA surrounding the "Blackwell" consumer GPU lineup, which is set to occur by January 6.
