NVIDIA has made a price update for its DGX Spark systems, raising the pricing from $3999 to $4699, due to ongoing memory shortages.
NVIDIA DGX Spark "AI" Systems Affected By Memory Constraints Too, Pricing Sees $700 US Hike
In a forum post, NVIDIA has confirmed that the MSRP of its DGX Spark AI system has been adjusted and reflects the ongoing memory shortages. The pricing update is specific to the DGX Spark Founders Edition, the one sold by NVIDIA itself.
As per the new pricing update, the DGX Spark will see a $700 US hike. Previously, the system was priced at $3999 US, but with the new update, the pricing has been adjusted to $4699. This is a drastic increase & NVIDIA has also confirmed that the new pricing goes live this week.
We have adjusted the MSRP of DGX Spark (Founders Edition) due to worldwide constraints in memory supply. DGX Spark continues to offer industry-leading AI performance in an ultra compact desktop form factor.
What changed?
The MSRP for DGX Spark (Founders Edition) has been adjusted from $3,999 to $4,699 due to memory supply constraints
When did this go into effect?
The updated pricing went live this week.
Why was the price adjusted?
The price adjustment reflects industry wide memory supply constraints. DGX Spark continues to deliver industry-leading desktop AI performance and strong value relative to comparable AI infrastructure solutions.
Does this affect OEM pricing for GB10 systems?
This MSRP adjustment is for the NVIDIA DGX Spark, powered by GB10. Pricing questions for OEM GB10 powered systems should be directed to the OEM.
Why do I see DGX Sparks listed for $3,999 at other sites like Amazon and Microcenter?
We have adjusted pricing at NVIDIA.com. Other sales channels may take longer to reflect the change.
Are there any product changes associated with this price increase?
No. There are no hardware or configuration changes tied to this adjustment.
Does this affect global pricing?
Yes, the updated MSRP applies to all regions.
Does this impact existing orders?
No. The pricing applied at the time of ordering will be honored.
The NVIDIA DGX Spark features the GB10 "Grace Blackwell" Superchip, offering 1 PFLOPs of FP4 compute for AI workloads, 128 GB of LPDDR5X memory in a unified subsystem, 4 TB of NVMe M.2 storage, and the latest ConnectX-7 Smart NIC. The system comes in a 150x150x50mm chassis, which makes it one of the tiniest AI systems on the market.
Currently, MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte, Dell, and others offer their own custom DGX Spark systems in various configurations and price ranges.
It is stated that the specifications of NVIDIA DGX Spark systems have not been affected. Despite the price bump, the 128 GB memory configuration is retained. However, the price update would lead to other OEM partners who are offering their own DGX Spark systems to announce a price update too.
The DGX Spark AI system has been the main competitor against AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ Mini PCs, which also offer great bang for buck in AI-related tasks, but we have seen prices for those being bumped up, too, due to DRAM constraints that have engulfed the tech market. Currently, the Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 in 128 GB configurations start at $2499 for Beelink's GTR9, $2599 for Framework's AI MAX 300, $2699 for GMKtec's EVO-X2, and go up to $3500+ for HP's Z2 Mini systems.
