NVIDIA is Giving Away One Custom DOOM: The Dark Ages Wrapped RTX 5090 GPU to a Lucky Winner
NVIDIA has today announced in an official X post that it is giving away one custom GeForce RTX 5090 GPU to the participants of the contest. The GPU is going to boast a custom wrap, showcasing the DOOM: The Dark Ages theme for DOOM lovers. NVIDIA says that it is giving away this limited design to celebrate the native ray tracing, NVIDIA DLSS 4 + Reflex, available in the game.
The game, which launched today, has already started garnering very positive reviews on Steam and is the sequel to DOOM Eternal, which was launched in 2020. The Dark Ages is one of the first to bring native ray tracing to bring beautiful and immersive visuals, and the GeForce RTX 5090 is currently the best gaming GPU to play the title on max graphical presets.

NVIDIA has been releasing such game-themed limited editions for a while now, but this one is a bit different from the others since there isn't much shroud area for showcasing the DOOM visuals. Now, in order to win the GPU, users have to follow NVIDIA's instructions, which require "liking" the post and commenting "#RTXON".
NVIDIA will then automatically choose one lucky winner. While the giveaway contest is worldwide, some regions won't qualify for the contest, including some regions in Australia, the Province of Quebec, and a few more. The Middle East region and some Asian countries are also excluded from the contest.
NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition has been used in the giveaway, which costs $1999, and the custom wrap is valued at around $600. So, the total value of the card is $2599, which is still somewhat equivalent and even lower than the prices of some RTX 5090 custom editions you will currently find on the market.
The timeframe for the contest entry is 6:00 AM Pacific Standard Time, May 15th, 2025, to 5:00 PM, May 22nd, 2025. Once NVIDIA randomly selects a winner, the user will be notified through email or private message. The winner will be given 48 hours to respond to the message in order to claim the prize.
