The US Navy's retail store is offering high-end GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs for their official MSRPs, but they aren't available for everyone.
Redditor Buys GeForce RTX 5090 for Just $1900 from NEX; The Store is Offering Many RTX 5070s and RTX 5080s at MSRP
It's unlikely that you can find as good a deal as the US Navy Exchange (NEX) is currently offering. This is a commercial store managed by the US Navy, but it is only available for active and retired US Navy personnel and their families. A Reddit user was able to find a GeForce RTX 5090 for himself at an incredible $1900. The MSRP of the RTX 5090 is $1999, but with a credit card and store rewards, he was able to get an additional $100 discount.
This is extremely rare these days since the GeForce RTX 5090 sells for over $2700 at the minimum in most parts of the world. The user informed him that NEX also had several RTX 5070s and RTX 5080s listed for their MSRPs of $549 and $999, respectively, but had a single RTX 5090, which he grabbed before anyone else. As per the user, he received the Founder's Edition, which can be seen inside his Lian Li O11 D XL chassis.
NEX is basically a tax-free store for active/retired servicemen and offers numerous products in multiple categories. It's like an online retail store, but you get a good discount on all items compared to regular stores. While the NEX store doesn't have a lot of computer hardware, it still sells it for a noticeably lower price than other stores. As the RTX 50 series is difficult to find at MSRP, this is probably one of the handful of stores that are selling them at good prices.
Meanwhile, regular online and offline stores are also dropping the prices of RTX 50 GPUs, as we have recently reported. We aren't quite there yet, but it will take a couple of weeks more before we can see the RTX 50 GPUs at their official price tags. As far as 60-class cards are concerned, the NEX online store currently doesn't show any, but at the moment, it has an MSI Gaming Trio RTX 5090 and a Gaming Trio RTX 5080.
