Insomniac Games has rolled out new Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales PC updates, packing DualSense features, Intel CPU optimizations, and more.

These are the first new PC updates since three months when Insomniac released patches that offered various fixes and improvements, including performance improvements and Steam Deck crash fixes. The contents of these new patches are alike and offer improved Bluetooth support for DualSense and Dualshock controllers in both Spider-Man Miles Morales and Spider-Man Remastered on PC. In addition, this update updates Intel XeSS upscaling to version 1.1, adds DualSense adaptive trigger feedback with Steam input, and includes additional CPU optimizations for Intel CPUs. You can find the official release notes, as released by developer Insomniac Games, here.

Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man Miles Morales are available now for PC and PlayStation 5. Of course, the 'standard' version of Spider-Man is also available for PlayStation 4. As most of you will know, Insomniac Games is currently hard at work on a sequel to 2018's Spider-Man - Spider-Man 2, which will mix a darker tone with lighter moments.

Here's what we wrote about last year's Miles Morales PC port.

"With Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales PC, Sony confirms its commitment to the platform", our very own Alessio Palumbo wrote in his article last year. "It's the latest in a series of great ports that deliver the definitive version of a great game, providing enhanced visuals (including Ultrawide support), amazing granularity for tweaking all kinds of settings, and even full support for the DualSense controller's haptic feedback and adaptive triggers."

He added, "in that sense, they could push Microsoft to do better, as they've been a bit lacking in the area despite being in the PC market for much longer. On the other hand, Sony's ports remain long staggered from the console releases. PlayStation president Hermen Hulst recently said it would be at least a year before a PS5 game gets to PC (live service titles notwithstanding)."
