Original story: New additions to the PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup appear to have leaked ahead of an official announcement, and fans will be happy.
As has become common over the past few years, known PlayStation Plus leaker 'Billbul-kun' has now leaked the new games that will be added to the higher tiers of Sony's subscription service starting next week on February 21.
According to the leaker, last year's Horizon sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, will come be added to the premium tier for both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. For those on the Extra tier, Scarlet Nexus will be made available on PS5 and PS4. Other titles include the PS5 and PS4 versions of Borderlands 3 and Resident Evil VII: Biohazard.

While these new PS Plus games haven't been officially confirmed by Sony just yet, 'Billbul-kun' has proven to be spot on when it comes to leaking new PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass games. As such, these new additions are likely legit. As for Horizon Forbidden West, we're not entirely sure if this is merely a trial version or the full game being added to the premium tier.
Interestingly, these new games include Resident Evil VII - a game that is also included as part of the PS Plus Collection on PlayStation 5. Still, this is the PS4 version of the game and isn't upgradeable to the PS5 version of the game. Also, as announced by Sony earlier this month, the PS Plus Collection is being retired as of May 2023. Here's what Sony wrote on that: “We also wanted to provide an update on the PlayStation Plus Collection that has been offered as a benefit to PlayStation Plus members on PS5 since 2020. On May 9 the PlayStation Plus Collection will no longer be offered. If you haven’t redeemed the titles in this collection yet, you can still do so until May 9, which will enable you to access those titles even after this date for as long as you remain a PlayStation Plus member.”
We'll update you as soon as more information about these new PS Plus games comes in.
