Injustice 2

NetherRealm Studios has been working on Mortal Kombat X for quite some time, supporting the game with balance patches and additional content. All good things come to an end, eventually, and the team is definitely already working on a new title that will be revealed in the future. A few hours ago, the studio's head has teased this new title.

A few hours ago, NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon shared an image featuring what seems to be the roman numeral II. Due to rumors stating that Injustice 2 is currently in the works, many thought that Ed Boon is indeed teasing this title, but it seems like the image could be teasing something different, as he later said that the number in the image could also be an 11, which would refer to a new entry of the Mortal Kombat series.

With the E3 2016 right behind the corner, it won't take much to learn more about this new title. No matter what, it seems like fans of NetherRealm Studios' games will be in for something very nice in the future.

As already mentioned, a rumor circulating online stated that Injustice 2, sequel to Injustice: Gods Among Us is currently in development by NetherRealm Studios. The game will apparently use the same engine as Mortal Kombat X, and any other features has yet to be revealed. A confirmation has yet to come in, so we still don't know if the game is indeed in development.

The latest game developed by NetherRealm Studios is Mortal Kombat X, which has been released last year on PC and consoles.. An enhanced version of the game, called Mortal Kombat XL, has also been released on consoles earlier this year, including all previously released additional content, netcode improvements and much more.
