MSI Debuts Compact Gaming Desktop Called MAG Infinite Z 8B, Powered By Ryzen 7 9700X and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti
Popular hardware vendor MSI has released its latest gaming desktop called MAG Infinite Z 8B, which brings powerful computing and gaming prowess inside a compact tower. The MAG Infinite Z brings a small form-factor chassis that takes less space on the desk, but delivers big when it comes to gaming and general productivity tasks.
According to MSI, the MAG Infinite Z combines high-performance hardware, intelligent thermal optimization, and "practical" upgrade features, allowing users to easily upgrade without opting for a bigger case. MAG Infinite desktop will be available in various configurations, but its peak setup pairs the 8-core/16-thread Zen 5-based Ryzen 7 9700X with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
The combination is solid enough to max out games at 1440p, and even play games at 4K without much hassle. However, the desktop does have more configurations for gamers, offering as many as four different CPUs (Ryzen 5 8400F, Ryzen 7 8700F, Ryzen 5 9600X, and 9700X), all paired with up to an RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. MSI hasn't disclosed other GPU models, but it should include the RTX 5060 series and the RTX 5070 GPU.
The configuration includes 2x DDR5 slots for up to 64 GB of memory, 2x M.2 ports for SSDs, 2x 2.5" and 1x 3.5" drive bays for SATA drives, and the latest connectivity features such as a WiFi antenna and Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless devices. I/O connectivity includes multiple USB Type-A ports at the rear, an HDMI port, a VGA port, and a LAN port, while the front I/O includes a USB Type-A and Type-C port for modern peripherals.
As per the company, its 25L tower is spacious enough to allow future upgrades without increasing the footprint. The tower brings a transparent side panel to show off the components and supports Mystic Light RGB for personalization. One of the notable features of the MAG Infinite Z is the Silent Storm Cooling AI, which MSI claims to intelligently control and monitor system temperatures, fan speed, and noise levels, resulting in an optimized fan curve that keeps the temperature and noise low.
MSI hasn't disclosed any information on its pricing yet.
