MSI Shows a UW QD-OLED Gaming Monitor in a Teaser Video; Calls it "World's First AI" Gaming Monitor

A few days ago, MSI announced two new high-end models in the OLED lineup, featuring the latest 5th-gen Tandem OLED panel. The company is now set to unveil its state-of-the-art gaming display, which it calls "MEG X," at CES, as announced in a tweet. While not much has been revealed in the teaser, we have a glimpse of the new monitor, which shows a few details.

The MEG X is reportedly the world's first AI gaming monitor, and if you have been going through the latest monitor launches, many display manufacturers are using the same marketing tactic. Recently, LG also released its UltraGear evo lineup, which is powered by proprietary AI upscaling technology. However, the MSI MEG X is the first-ever gaming monitor to be released in the MEG series, which is usually the enthusiast-grade family that offers the most premium products.

MEG X is going to feature the latest Tandem OLED panel and is reportedly "packed" with innovation. From the video, it is clear that it's an ultra-wide gaming monitor and might boast a 5K2K resolution, which will put it against LG's new 5K2K solutions that will ship with 5K AI upscaling technology. So, we can expect competitive specifications as well, including brighter and more color-accurate QD-OLED display, wider color gamut, fast response, and built-in AI upscaling technology to improve visuals.

MSI says that it will showcase the MEG X at CES soon, where it might also reveal its price tag.
