Minisforum has unveiled its brand new AI X1 Pro-470 and MS-02 Mini PCs with updated AMD Ryzen AI 400 & Intel Core Ultra 200HX Refresh CPUs.
Minisforum Rolls Out AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470-Powered "AI X1 Pro-470" Mini PC, Also Updates MS-02 With Intel Arrow Lake-HX Refresh
Minisforum is a name synonymous with small form factor Mini PCs, and this year, they are rolling out two brand new updates for their lineup. The first is the AMD-based AI X1 Pro-470, and the other is the Intel-based MS-02.
Minisforum AI X1 Pro-470
The Minisforum AI X1 Pro-470 is the latest addition to the Mini PC lineup. It features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 CPU with 12 cores (4 "Zen 5" + 8 "Zen 5C"), 24 threads, up to 5.2 GHz clock speeds, Radeon 890M iGPU with 16 RDNA 3.5 compute units, and a 55 TOPS NPU. The chip can be configured in 45W, 55W, and up to 65W TDPs on this particular Mini PC.
Other specs include support for up to 128 GB DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM memory, and three M.2 slots which offer up to 4 TB capacity support (per 2 x Gen4x4 slots). IO includes WIFI7, BT5.4, HDMI, DisplayPort, two USB4 ports, a 3.5mm Combo Audio jack, dual 2.5GbE LAN ports, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, a single USB 2.0 Type-A port, an SD Card reader, a Copilot Button, and an OCuLink port.
The Mini PC measures 195x195x42.5mm and weighs 1.5 kg. The Minisforum AI X1 Pro-470 also comes with dual integrated speakers and has a Fingerprint sensor too. The system will be available soon on the company's global website.
Minisforum MS-02 ARL-HX Refresh
Minisforum is also rolling out an updated MS-02 variant featuring the Intel Core Ultra 200HX Refresh CPUs. The top model will come packed with the flagship Arrow Lake-HX Refresh, which offers 24 cores, 24 threads, and a higher boost capability. The rest of the specs remain the same as the older model, with up to 256 GB DDR5-4800 speed support, up to 16 TB of storage capacities (2x M.2 slots), and a six-heatpipe cooler with Phase Change TIM for cooling.
IO on this model includes a 10 GbE + 2.5GbE LAN port configuration, 1 HDMI 2.1, 1 USB4 Type-C, four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, two USB4 B2 Type-C ports rated at up to 80 Gbps, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a clear CMOS button. There are also three PCIe slots, which include a 5.0 x16, a 4.0 x16, and a 4.0 x4 config.
The whole unit measures 221.5x97x225mm and weighs 3.25 kg. There's also a 350W PSU, which provides power to the PC. In terms of pricing, the updated MS-02 is expected to cost around $1500 US.
