Minisforum Intros New Intel 13th Gen “NPB7” & AMD Ryzen “UM560XT” Mini PCs

Minisforum has introduced two brand new Intel 13th Gen & AMD Ryzen CPU-powered Mini PCs that aim at very different market segments.

Minisforum's Intel 13th Gen "NPB7" Is The First Raptor Lake Design While The UM560XT Offers AMD Ryzen In An Affordable Package

Starting with the Intel solution, we have the Minisforum NPB7 which features a 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPU and the first Mini PC design from the company to do so. It is the successor to the NAB6 which still exists within the lineup but for those who want extra performance, the NPB7 is available now.

Besides the core specifications of the Minisforum NPB7 which are upgraded to a Core i7-13700H CPU from Intel that offers 14 cores, 20 threads, 24 MB of cache, &  a boost clock of up to 5.0 GHz, the memory design gets upgraded to DDR5-5200 while retaining the single M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD & 2.5-Inch HDD slots. The Minisforum NPB7 can house up to 64 GB capacities and also comes with 2 LAN (Gigabit) Ethernet ports along with WIFI 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity. There's also an HDMI & two USB4 ports that can support up to 4 displays, simultaneously.

For the AMD design, Minisforum is offering a more affordable version of its Ryzen CPU-powered Venus Mini PCs known as the UM560XT. This new design comes with affordability in mind and as such, features the Ryzen 5 5600H CPU with 6 cores, 12 threads, 16 MB L3 cache, and a boost clock of up to 4.2 GHz. The Mini PC gets DDR4 memory support and features all the necessary I/O such as two HDMI ports, a USB Type-C port, a 2.5G Ethernet LAN port, and also two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports.

The Minisforum NPB7 with the Intel Core i7-13700H retails at $489 US for the Barebone kit and $609 US for the base 16 GB + 512 GB (Ram + SSD) configuration. As for the Minisforum UM560XT, the Mini PC costs $219 US for the Barebone kit and $299 US for the base configuration with 16 GB and 512 GB (Ram + SSD) configuration.
