Minisforum is known for its Mini PC variety and has been offering Intel/AMD-based solutions for a long time now. At IFA 2025, the company showcased its latest portfolio, which includes four high-end options.

Minisforum MS-S1 MAX With AMD Ryzen AI MAX+ 395

Starting with the top, we have the Minisforum MS-S1 MAX, which is powered by AMD's Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 CPU. This chip features 16 cores, 32 threads based on the Zen 5 core architecture, and also packs the Radeon 8060S GPU with 40 compute units, so a lot of performance is ready to go for AI, Gaming, and PRO workloads. This chip can be tuned up to 160W on the MS-S1 MAX.

Other specs include up to 128 GB of LPDDR5x-8000 memory, lots of storage capabilities, strong IO with 80 Gbps and 40 Gbps USB4 outputs (Type-C), support for SFF PCIe graphics cards, dual 10 GbE LAN, BT 5.4 with WIFI7 support, and a built-in PSU (320W). The chassis also features a microphone array on the front and has exhaust vents on the back, which are optimized for 2U rack configurations.

Minisforum G1 PRO With AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX

Next up, we have the Minisforum G1 Pro, which is powered by AMD's Ryzen 9 8945HX "Dragon Range Refresh" CPU with up to 16 cores based on the Zen 4 architecture. For the GPU, the system will be equipped with a mobility-grade RTX 50 GPU, most probably an RTX 5070 or 5080. Other specs include 96 GB of DDR5-5600 memory, dual PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD slots, 5G Ethernet, WIFI 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, HDMI 2.1, DP 1.4, and dual USB Type-C ports with Alt DP2.0 support.

For the G1 Pro, Minisforum has gone with a very futuristic chassis that stands vertically and has a white texture on the outside with blue LEDs in the middle, which light up when the system is powered on. Since Minisforum has selected Ryzen 8000HX for this generation, we can expect an upcoming refresh with the newer Fire Range options too.

Minisforum N5 PRO NAS With AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370

The last AMD Mini PC that Minisforum introduced is actually its N5 Pro NAS, which features the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with 12 cores, Radeon 890M iGPU, and up to 80 TOPS of AI performance. The system supports five HDDs, three SSDs, and up to 144 TB of hybrid capacity. Memory support includes 96 GB of DDR5 ECC memory. There's also a native PCIe x16 slot, OcuLink interface, 10G+5G LAN, and support for various NAS features.

Minisforum G7 PRO With Intel Core i9-14900HX

Now we move to the Intel side, where Minisforum is only offering one option, the G7 Pro with the Core i9-14900HX. This features 24 cores, 32 threads, and up to 5.8 GHz clock speeds alongside an RTX 5070 GPU. The system comes with dual-channel DDR5 memory support (SO-DIMM), up to 2 PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD slots, HDMI 2.1, USB4, an Ethernet LAN port, WIFI 7, Bluetooth 5.4, multiple USB Type-A/C ports, and an SD card reader.

The design for the G7 Pro, an AtomMan series product, is similar to various NUCs that Minisforum and even Intel offered in the past. This new design comes with LEDs on the front and the same vertical stand that we've seen on previous products. Minisforum has made an interesting choice not to go with any modern-day Intel CPU, such as the Core Ultra Series 2 "Arrow Lake". That might be due to performance or cost reasons, but yeah, the 14900HX is still a very capable mobile chip.

Minisforum hasn't detailed the specifications and prices for any of its Mini PCs announced at IFA 2025, but they are expected to be rolled out in the coming months, so stay tuned for more information.
