Microsoft finally updated its Surface Pro 6 with an upgraded processor and a new color model, giving the machine new levels of performance. The latest Surface Pro 6 lineup is able to tout four cores, delivering improved computing performance from the portable device. However, you had to purchase a Type Cover from Microsoft separately in order to improve your productivity with the product, because all you were getting before was a Windows 10-powered slate.
However, Microsoft is offering you the chance to get a Type Cover bundle with the Surface Pro 6. The variant featuring a Core i5 CPU, 128GB of SSD storage 8GB RAM and comes in the platinum color model for $799 (saving you $260 in the process). You can also build your own bundle but you will be limited to the kind of configuration you can make. Remember, if you want increased performance such as getting the Core i7 version coupled with 16GB of RAM, you will have to go through the expensive route.
This means you’ll have to purchase the Type Cover separately. Also, keep in mind that the Surface Pen is not included in this bundle, so you’ll have to shell out $100 more if you want to grab a hold of this accessory. Microsoft has not provided info on when the deal is going to expire, so we’d take advantage of this offer if we were you.
