NetEase Games has just released the free-to-play superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X, and the early player figures are already very promising. On Steam, the game peaked at 444K concurrent players around ten hours ago, making it already one of the hottest games on Valve's platform. This is already enough to place Marvel Rivals on the 25th spot of Steam's all-time concurrent player peak chart, but there's a lot of room for improvement as we head into the weekend. The game has launched in its so-called Season 0 - Doom's Rise, themed around Doctor Doom's time experiments colliding and unleashing the Timestream Entanglement; the season will last one month.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, it features Lumen-based Global Illumination and environmental destruction based on the Chaos system. On PC, Marvel Rivals includes support for NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and Frame Generation, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, and Intel XeSS. NVIDIA users can already download an optimized Game Ready driver. On consoles, users can expect the following specs:
