Nintendo has confirmed that its famed gaming title Mario Kart is coming to mobile devices next year.

Mart Kart Tour Confirmed for Mobile Devices - Certain Details Remain Sparse at this Point in Time

Nintendo is not new to the world of mobile gaming as the company has had several titles on multiple platforms for a long time including Super Mario Run. But now it seems as though the company is set to expand on the mobile platform by bringing a brand new Mario game to the roster called Mario Kart Tour.

From the name, it's fairly obvious what the game will entail, but how will it differ from its counterpart on Switch remains to be seen. Also, certain details of the game remain sparse at this point in time, especially when it comes to pricing. If Super Mario Run is anything to go by, then things might not look too rosy. But we are hopeful that the title is going to be free-to-play with in-app purchases available to those who wish to level up quickly.

When it comes to when the game will release, then it will put off quite a lot of mobile gamers out there. According to the official tweet by Nintendo America, Mario Kart Tour will release 'in the fiscal year ending March 2019.' So yes, in case you think that is a typo, it's not. The game really is releasing next year, not this one.

Given the amount of time Nintendo is taking to forge this title, our expectations have definitely went through the roof. Also, since the game is releasing next year, then we can expect some spectacular visuals too, as that is way beyond the time the next iPhone as well as Android flagships hit shelves as well. But of course, that's just me being optimistic.

We will keep our readers updated whenever there is more information on Mario Kart Tour, so stay tuned.
