The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Nintendo Switch bundle that leaked yesterday is the real deal, but only for those in Russia.
Spotted by eagle-eyed Reddit user Lord_Daenar, the Russian Nintendo website allegedly leaked a Mario Kart 8 deluxe bundle, and based on the Russian listing, the bundle would sell for 24,999 RUB – approximately $ 440 USD.
Questions were raised whether this bundle was real or that it would perhaps be limited to a specific region. The latter seems to be the case as a Nintendo spokesperson has stated that the bundle is exclusive for those in Russia.
"The bundle is exclusive to Russia and there are no plans to bring it to other countries at this time," the representative told website Gamespot.
Being one of Nintendo’s best-selling series, releasing a Mario Kart 8 deluxe bundle in the US and West would surely increase Nintendo Switch sales even more.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is slated for release later this month for the Nintendo Switch.
