Autocorrect on its own can create troublesome replacements for individuals at times. It randomly takes over a word that you spelled correctly and replaces it with something entirely different. Recently, a few days ago, Apple had fixed an agonizing bug that when the letter "I" was typed, it would automatically autocorrect to "A[?]". Moreover, Apple had fixed it in the iOS 11.1.1 update. Now, it seems that some sort of a similar bug is causing hundreds of users to complain that autocorrect is changing "It" to "I.T" without a user's consent. So let's dive in to see some more details on the matter.
iPhone Users Report on Another Autocorrect Bug That Changes "It" To "I.T" Automatically
As we have mentioned earlier, the new autocorrect bug is changing "It" to "I.T" which is quite a nuisance. What the problem is that the QuickType suggestion will show "I.T" as the first replacement option and once you tap on the space bar after putting the word that you want, the replacement would automatically be added.
This action only takes place when autocorrect is enabled to work automatically. While the basic purpose of autocorrect is to correct the spelling of a word or more, in this case, it performs entirely different.

At this stage, a growing number of affected users have shown their frustration about the new autocorrect bug Twitter as well as other discussion forums and platforms. It seems that the autocorrect bug persists even after an individual reboots the device and performs other basic troubleshooting methods.
A similar temporary workaround which Apple devised with the previous autocorrect bug can also be implemented here. Simply navigate to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacement and then input "it" in both fields, Phrase, and Shortcut. However, some users still coin that the solution does not solve the problem.
Apart from this, you can also completely disable autocorrect and predictive suggestions from Settings > General > Keyboard. Apple fixed a similar bug in its iOS 11.1.1 update and the company will soon release another update with a fix for the present autocorrect bug.
