Smaller, but similar; The new Vector V100 Mini brings an identical layout to the bigger sibling and allows users to build PCs without compromising much.
Lian Li Debuts Vector V100 Mini Tower at $49; Retains Slanted PSU Shroud for Maximum Airflow
Popular PC case manufacturer, Lian Li, has introduced a smaller version of the Vector V100, called Vector V100 Mini. The original Vector V100 mid-tower was introduced in June this year, and brought a slanted PSU shroud to enhance airflow to the GPU. Lian Li ensured that the feature remains in the mini version as well, but technically, it's identical to the bigger V100 in almost every area except for a few.
The V100 Mini is an M-ATX tower and therefore, doesn't support the regular ATX form-factor motherboards. However, apart from supporting regular ITX and M-ATX boards, the V100 Mini also allows installing M-ATX motherboards with connectors at the back. The V100 mid-tower could do this for ATX form-factor as well, but also brought support for E-ATX models.
Apart from this major change, we see the V100 Mini redesigned to retain the maximum features of the bigger version. The V100 Mini offers GPU clearance of up to 415 mm and a dedicated GPU support bracket, CPU cooler clearance of up to 163.55 mm, and up to 200 mm for ATX PSUs. These numbers are slightly lower than the clearance available in the Vector V100, but are sufficient to build a powerful machine with longer GPUs, tall CPUs, and standard PSUs.
The V100 Mini retains the iconic 270° visibility, thanks to the pillar-less design that brings a seamless appearance with dual tempered glass panels. The overall dimensions for the case are 436 x 221.5 x 443.9 mm, which are noticeably smaller than the V100 (446 x 235.5 x 484.65 mm), especially in height. The V100 Mini still has identical support for cooling devices such as fans and AIOs except for the rear, which can only support a 120mm fan and not a 140mm one.
The I/O connectivity at the front is identical as well, featuring 2x USB 3.0 ports, 1x USB 3.1 Type C, 1x 3.5 mm, 1x Power, and 1x Reset buttons. As far as pricing goes, the Vector V100 Mini belongs to the budget category and is $6 cheaper than the bigger version. The V100 Mini will be available for purchase starting on December 19th, and here is the pricing:
| MSRP | |
| Vector V100 MINI Black | $49.99 (USA only) / $44.99 (other regions) / €49.90 |
| Vector V100R MINI Black | $64.99 (USA only) / $59.99 (other regions) / €64.90 |
