New The Last of Us Part II coverage is inbound as Naughty Dog’s press media event has just been wrapped up.
Naughty Dog and Sony finally announced the release date of The Last of Us Part II during yesterday’s State of Play stream, and fans can expect new coverage from the highly anticipated sequel tomorrow on Naughty Dog’s Outbreak day – September 26.
“That’s a wrap on our The Last of Us Part II media hands-on event in Los Angeles”, Naughty Dog’s official tweet reads. “Look for all of the coverage on #OutbreakDay—this Thursday 9/26—at 8am PT.”

In addition to announcing the game’s release date yesterday, Sony also revealed the special editions for the Last of Us Part II that will be released, and as spotted by ever eagle-eyed @Wario64, the PS4 exclusive will be a 2-disc game.

The Last of Us Part II is slated for a release on February 21, 2020. Those who haven’t played the original The Last of Us on either PS3 or PS4 might be interested in October’s PS Plus offering as the game will be one of the PlayStation Plus free games next month.
