Latest iPad Pro Benchmarks Beat the MacBook Pro in a Few CPU and GPU-Related Tasks

The recent 10.5 iPad Pro benchmarks reveal that in addition to sporting an A10X SoC, the slate is also packing 4GB of RAM, giving more freedom to users to carry out a multitude of tasks on Apple’s iOS platform. However, this time the tablet is going head to head against another one of Apple’s machines; the MacBook Pro. The surprising thing about these scores is that in some of them, the tablet is able to get the better of Apple’s high-end notebook, which you’ll soon find out.

There are a total of 6 models going head to head against one another in a series of Geekbench and GFXBench benchmarks. These models also include the previous-generation iPad Pro and 13-inch MacBook Pro just to see the difference between them and the newer iterations.

Barefeats conducted these benchmarks, which you can see clearly and in some of them, the newer iPad Pro models manage to get the better of the MacBook Pro notebooks. Obviously, the argument that can be made here is that both machines are running completely different operating systems and while that is true, you cannot deny that both the 12.9-inch and 10.5-inch iPad Pro versions are unassumingly powerful.

Underneath that premium but thin chassis, there’s a lot going on, which will ultimately benefit the end user, should they decide to purchase one down the road.
