We have lost count of how many times we have heard about the Arc B770, but when will this GPU actually launch?
Intel Mentions Arc B770 and Says the Future of Gaming Looks Exciting, But Will the GPU Even Launch?
Earlier this year, we thought Intel would launch the flagship Xe2-based Arc B770 at Computex, since it actively replied to the users who were curious about the GPU later. Even though Intel seemed to have indirectly confirmed it, it never said a word about the GPU. If you go to that previous thread, almost everyone enquired about the Arc B770, and Intel replied in words like "Stay Tuned" or "Solid Pick", which indicated Intel was likely working on the card.
Once again, Intel has explicitly mentioned the GPU in a response to a user. It doesn't look like any sort of clear confirmation whether it exists or whether it is going to be released soon, but it somewhat gives a hint that Intel hasn't ditched the plans to release the card yet.
100%!! We're thrilled to hear that you're pumped about the B770, Panther Lake, and Nova Lake! The future of gaming and performance is looking seriously exciting.
- Intel
Arc B770 has been appearing for quite a while in leaks, and in recent days, we have seen Intel adding the BMG-G31 to the support list of VTune Profile Software. Moreover, the GPU was seen in an NBD shipping manifest, boasting a TDP of 300 W. It's clear that the BMG-G31 "does" exist, and it will probably end up in both the consumer and Pro families.
But the question is: why has Intel been silent on its release when there is already evidence of the existence of the larger Xe2-based BMG-G31 die? This is something that has been bothering a lot of people. It has been a year since it launched the Arc B580 and Arc B570, but even after seeing several GPUs being released from NVIDIA and AMD, Intel hasn't launched a single discrete GPU in the Battlemage family for the whole year.
It's possible that Intel might release or at least tease the Arc B770 at CES 2026, but it shouldn't delay it anymore. The GPU market already has plenty of competition in the mid-range category, and delaying the launch won't help Intel gain any noticeable GPU share at all. The Arc B580 isn't doing well in the market, but the with Arc B770, Intel has one more shot before it moves to the Xe3-based GPUs.
