OneXPlayer Unveils World's First Intel Arc G3 Extreme-Powered Gaming Handheld, Featuring 8.8-inch OLED Display and a 3-in-1 Design
With the unveiling of Intel's Arc G3 chips, handheld manufacturers have already readied their next-gen gaming handhelds powered by the new Panther Lake variants. The Arc G3 is a dedicated chip lineup for gaming handhelds, offering up to 14 CPU cores and up to 12 Xe3 GPU cores for an impressive gaming performance, as has been demonstrated by the Panther Lake counterparts.
Popular handheld and eGPU maker OneXPlayer has also unveiled its first and probably one of the first Arc 3 Extreme-based gaming handhelds, bringing flagship performance for those who need smooth gameplay in modern titles. This is the OneXPlayer 3, which brings a 3-in-1 design, offering versatile functionality and catering to individual needs. The OneXPlayer 3 can be used as a regular gaming handheld, a small laptop, or a dedicated display.
The gaming handheld uses an 8.8-inch OLED display that brings VRR and HDR support. It's a large display that operates at a good 144Hz refresh rate and offers a smooth and immersive gaming experience. The control system unveiled by the company reveals a detachable control system that offers a capacitive touchpad with mouse-level precision and has two-stage triggers on the top to switch between micro and linear modes.
The machine will be powered by a good 85Wh capacity battery, which is essential to run such powerful hardware for a longer period of time. One can expect Arc B390-level gaming performance on the OneXPlayer 3, which offers a 60+ FPS gaming experience in modern titles. Currently, the company has launched it on Indiegogo with its campaign set to go live in June, but hasn't disclosed its pricing.
