Intel Partners With EA To Optimize Battlefield 6 On PC: XeSS 2 Support On Launch, Optimizations For Intel Core & Core Ultra CPUs

Intel has partnered with EA to optimize the highly anticipated FPS Title, Battlefield 6, which will have XeSS 2 support on launch.

Battlefield 6 To Receive XeSS 2 Support On Launch Along With Optimizations For Core Ultra / Core CPUs, Thanks To EA & Intel Partnership

Battlefield 6 is going to be a major blockbluster release this October, bringing back modern warfare which the series is known to do best. In early campaign and multiplayer trailers, we have got a glimpse of the updated Frostbite engine and the level of destruction that the game will have to offer. Now, Intel has been selected as the PC partner for Battlefield 6 by EA. Their newest XeSS 2 technology will enable upscaling, frame-generation, and low-latency support on launch day. Plus, with the recent 1.2 SDK, XeSS 2 will be available not only on Intel's own Arc GPUs but also for GPUs from other vendors such as NVIDIA and AMD.

Intel's Core Ultra & Core CPUs will also be receiving specific optimizations. These will include scheduler optimizations, ensuring that the game processes run on the right threads, and we can also expect APO support. The specs to play the BETA are relatively good for entry-level PCs running modern hardware but we will have to try out the game ourselves on a range of hardware to see how well it performs when the final build rolls out.

Why it Matters: Intel and EA have been working closely to fine-tune Battlefield 6 on both Intel Core and Core Ultra processors. This includes scheduler optimizations, which ensure the game processes are running on the right threads, at the right time, to ensure a smooth player experience.

Additionally, Battlefield 6 will come equipped with Intel XeSS 2 technologies right at launch – boosting framerates and fluidity while keeping visual quality and game responsiveness. The full suite of XeSS 2 technologies – including XeSS Super Resolution (SR), XeSS Frame Generation (FG), and Xe Low Latency (LL) – run most efficiently on Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) with built-in Intel Arc 100V and 100T series GPUs, as well as Intel Arc A- and B-series GPUs.

Battlefield 6 is scheduled to launch on the EA App on October 10, 2025, and in the interim, players should check out the developer’s blog for the latest updates on the work Intel and EA are doing in the run-up to launch. Players can also participate in the Battlefield 6 open beta, which will include Intel’s XeSS 2 integration, once it goes live later this summer.
