Intel's new "Arrow Lake-S" desktop CPUs have apparently hit the retail chain in China, as images and listings showing several new SKUs surface over the internet.
Intel's Next Round Of Arrow Lake Desktop CPUs Will Include "non-K & F Variants," Set For Unveiling At CES 2025
For those unaware, Team Blue is expected to announce the next round of its "Core Ultra 200" desktop CPUs at CES 2025, which is set to include multiple "non-K" and "F" variants. Now, according to information shared by @harukaze5719, we can anticipate a total of four non-K SKUs being released by Intel in the upcoming weeks, notably the Core Ultra 9 285, Ultra 7 265, Ultra 5 245, and Ultra 5 225. Initial images of these models have surfaced in China, showing inside a "tray packaging" used for shipping these CPUs to system integrators.
Fortunately, there are some CPU-Z snippets as well (via @harukaze5719) giving us a rundown of the above "non-K" models, but they are labeled as "engineering samples," which means that the numbers shown by the screenshots might not be final. Diving into the specifications, Intel's Core Ultra 9 285 reportedly comes in a 24-core configuration (8PE + 16E), with max TDP at 65W and boost clocks reaching up to 5.6 GHz. The Core Ultra 7 265 is set to come with a 20-core configuration (8P + 12E), with 5.3 GHz boost clocks and 65W TDP.
For the more mid-range models, the Core Ultra 5 245 is said to be the superior one here, offering a core count of (6P + 8E), and, to our surprise, this is the first time we have seen the core configuration of this particular model. The max clocks are reportedly at 5.1 GHz, with a 65W TDP. For the Core Ultra 5 225, this variant will offer a 6P + 4E core setting, with max clocks at 4.9 GHz and 64W TDP, which is indeed an interesting number.
Not just the "non-K" SKUs, but we have seen multiple "F" variants surfaced on China's retail channels as well. Models such as the Core Ultra 5 230F and Core Ultra 7 265F have surfaced (via @realVictor_M), with the earlier variant being said to be exclusive only to Chinese markets.
Overall, we are now aware of how the ARL-S lineup is being shaped. Things will be officially confirmed at Intel's CES 2025 keynote, which is set to unveil additional variants within the "Core Ultra 200" CPU lineup. For now, the official launch is slated for January 13.
