Intel's Core Ultra 200H series will be released later in the NA, the EU, and other regions as it will reportedly ship a month before in China and South Korea.
Intel Arrow Lake-H will Possibly Be Delayed To February 2025 Retail Launch Despite CES 2025 Unveiling
A new leak has surfaced on Weibo, suggesting that Intel Arrow Lake-H may not appear worldwide before launching in China and South Korea first. The popular leaker Golden Pig Upgrade says that the embargo on Arrow Lake-H will be lifted in these two regions before it is lifted in other parts of the world.
This means that we are seeing the retail launch of Arrow Lake-H, aka Core Ultra 200H mobile chips, in late February in other parts of the world. However, the Core Ultra 200H series will be unveiled much sooner at CES 2025, which will be held in the second week of January.
Intel Arrow Lake-H contains mainstream mobile chips like Core Ultra 9 285H, Core Ultra 7 255H, Core Ultra 5 235H, etc. These are different and slower than the Arrow Lake-HX or Core Ultra 200HX series, which are aimed at high-performance gaming and productivity laptops. Even though the Arrow Lake-HX may arrive before the Arrow Lake-H worldwide, the latter will still be available in various notebooks and systems paired with the GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs.
Since the HX series is for high-performance laptops, we can expect them to be released worldwide as soon as Intel unveils them at CES. This means a mid-to-late-January retail launch, but the Core Ultra 200H will follow up a month later. It's expected that NVIDIA will also launch its other high-end RTX 50 series GPUs in February, but will unveil the RTX 5080 before every other GPU.
Intel Arrow Lake-H has been leaked multiple times on retail websites and benchmark sites like Geekbench, the latest of which we reported just yesterday, featuring the Core Ultra 5 225H, Core Ultra 7 255H, and Core Ultra 9 285H. A few days ago, we saw the Core Ultra 9 285H in an upcoming ASUS ROG gaming laptop, which will be paired with the RTX 5090, RTX 5080, and RTX 5070 Ti GPU. This confirms that both HX and H series will be available in high-end gaming laptops, and that retail adoption will be in full force.
