India has been all over the horizon, especially regarding the efforts towards promoting the ongoing tech development within the country's industry. They have been striving to promote "in-house" production by providing "relatively cheaper" labor & government incentives, such as Prime Minister Narendra Modi's $2 billion policy, which is an effort to catalyze the process of setting up facilities by individual tech firms.

Announcing on the social media platform X, Sundar Pichai revealed that Google's motive behind shifting the production of its Chromebooks is to provide Indian students with relatively cheaper hardware, and moving towards in-house manufacturing will significantly decrease production costs. Moreover, the whole process will be aided by the existing facilities developed by Hewlett Packard (HP) in India, which will ensure much more seamless production.

There is no denying that India is turning out to be the next "tech hub" of the world, with companies like Apple and Google consistently pouring their resources into the country's economy. India has shifted from the more "traditional" means of revenues to current-gen ones, making it clear that the country means business when promoting the rapid rise in the "tech" culture.

The initiation of Chromebook production will help in making such products accessible to the common man, especially since India is a country that has a  1.4 billion population in total, that too with immense potential.
